djvishwajeet.in (“we”, “us”, or “our”) is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We are continually improving the user experience for everyone and applying the relevant accessibility standards so that veterans, family members, caregivers, and other readers of all abilities can access the information we publish.
1. Our Commitment
We believe that the internet should be available and accessible to anyone and are committed to providing a website that is accessible to the broadest possible audience, regardless of ability or technology. We aim to adhere as closely as possible to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at the AA level, published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with a wide array of disabilities, including visual, auditory, physical, speech, cognitive, language, learning, and neurological disabilities.
2. Conformance Status
djvishwajeet.in is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA. “Partially conformant” means that some parts of the content do not yet fully conform to the accessibility standard. We are actively working to bring all parts of our Site into full conformance.
3. Measures We Take
To support accessibility on djvishwajeet.in, we take the following measures, among others:
- Semantic structure. We use proper HTML headings, landmarks, and lists so that articles can be navigated efficiently by screen-reader users.
- Alternative text for images. Informative images are given descriptive alt text. Purely decorative images are marked so that assistive technologies can skip them.
- Color contrast. We aim to meet the WCAG 2.1 AA minimum contrast ratio of 4.5:1 for body text and 3:1 for large text and meaningful non-text elements.
- Keyboard navigation. Interactive elements such as links, buttons, and form controls are reachable and operable with a keyboard alone.
- Resizable text. Articles remain readable and usable when text is enlarged up to 200% using standard browser controls.
- Descriptive link text. Where possible, link text describes the destination so that links are meaningful out of context.
- Plain language. We translate complex VA regulations and benefit rules into plain English to support readers with cognitive and learning disabilities.
4. Known Limitations
Despite our efforts, some parts of djvishwajeet.in may not yet be fully accessible. Known limitations include:
- Embedded third-party content. Videos, social-media embeds, official VA forms, and other third-party resources embedded on the Site may not meet the same accessibility standards. We provide alternative summaries or links to the source where reasonably possible.
- Older articles. Articles published before our accessibility review program began may contain images without complete alt text or links with non-descriptive text. We update these as they are identified.
- PDFs and downloadable documents. Some PDF documents linked from articles, particularly official government forms, may not be fully tagged for screen readers. We will provide an accessible alternative on request.
5. Feedback and Assistance
We welcome your feedback on the accessibility of djvishwajeet.in. If you encounter an accessibility barrier, need information in an alternative format, or have a suggestion for improvement, please contact us. We aim to respond to accessibility feedback within 5 business days and to resolve verified issues as quickly as is reasonably practicable.
